How does breastfeeding benefits the baby & mother?

Breastfeeding has many advantages for the baby and mother.

Benefits to baby: Breastfeeding helps protect your baby against many diseases and infections such as
ear infections, respiratory illness, allergies-diarrhea, vomiting, gastro-intestinal infections, chest infections, urine infections, childhood diabetes
eczema, obesity, asthma,reduces constipation and reduces the risk of  SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome)..
It contains protein, fats, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and sugars for the infants needed at various stages of growth.

Benefits to Mother: It improves the health of mother and baby both physically and emotionally.It helps burn calories during lactation and there by woman to lose weight. Breastfeeding releases a hormone called (oxytocin) that causes the uterus to return its normal size more easily.It reduces the mother's risk of osteoporosis, ovarian cancer, breast cancer and emotional health related to stress&anxiety.
