*Greater immune health
*Fewer infections
*Reduced sudden infant death syndrome(SIDS)
*Less diabetes
*Help reduce your child's risk of becoming overweight or obesity
*Protect from allergic diseases (atopy)
*Less inflammatory disease in the intestines of premature infants.

Benefits of breastfeeding in mothers:
*Bonding
*Hormones released during breastfeeding help to strengthen the maternal bond.
 Breastfeeding releases oxytocin and prolactin, hormones that relax the mother and make her feel more nurturing toward her baby.
*Weight loss
  Extended breastfeeding can help mother to reduce weight as the fat accumulated during pregnancy is used to produce milk.
For breastfeeding women, long-term health benefits include:
*Less risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, and lower risk of coronary heart disease.
