Tips to avoid Jetlag

- Set your watch to the destination time zone as soon as you are on the plane
- Avoid dehydration. Drink adequate water
- Avoid alcohol and coffee on the plane
- Stay awake or sleep as per your destination time zone
- Eat your meals as though already in your destination time zone.
- Avoid having flight meals when served, as they are served as per your home time zone
- Ask your doctor for a short acting sleeping tablet to help you sleep on the flight
- Have a protein rich breakfast once at your destination
- Have light snacks at the destination meal times
- It is wise to wake up early and do some exercises
- You can also prepare your body for the new time zone at least 2 weeks before you leave by pushing your meal times and sleep times one hour ahead or behind as per the destination time zone.
