How it progresses??
Bacteria travel to small intestine , sticks to the lining and begin its life cycle. In severe cases bacteria break through intestinal wall to blood stream.
It can be deadly if not properly treated.
Symptoms:
Within 12 - 72 hours Nausea,Vomiting,Fever,Abdominal cramps
4-7 days illness range from mild to severe cases. Most people recover without treatment.
Severe cases more likely with infants,elderly people with impaired immune system.
Treatment:
Oral or injected antibiotics for 2 days
