Celiac sprue Disease/Coeliac disease

Celiac disease is an auto immune disorder of the lining of the small intestine(lining of intestine area,Villi) which prevents it from absorbing parts of food, important vitamins and minerals that are important for staying healthy. The happens due to the reaction of eating gluten, which is found in wheat, barley, rye, and possibly oats.This occurs people from infancy to adulthood.

Symptoms:
The symptoms are different in person to person.
-pale, loose and greasy stool
-Irritable bowel syndrome
-Constipation
-Nausea and vomiting
-Weight loss: Inability to absorb carbohydrates and fats may cause weight loss/stunded growth/lack of energy.
-Anaemia: Lack of absorbing certain nutrients,vitamins A,D,E,K,minerals may lead to certain other diseases also.
-Stunded growth in children
-Damage to the teeth enamel /change in tooth color:This usually happens in children
-Diarrhea

Treatment:
It cannot be cured. The only known effective treatment is a lifelong gluten-free diet. When untreated, the disease can cause life-threatening complications such as Autoimmune disorders,osteoporosis,low blood sugar,infertility,liver disease etc.
Avoid gluten contained food such as Cookies & Deserts, Breads, Pizza, Cheerios, Muffins and flour.
Eat gluten free foods such as Fruits, Vegetables, Egg, Rice, Meat(100%) etc..
